‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Writer Likely Gonna Pen Live-Action Pokémon Movie

Understandably, Pokémon and Nintendo are obviously scrambling to make their monies worth from the “unexpected” mammoth popularity of extremely-hyped app ‘Pokémon Go’
So, where does one begin? They’ve already done video games, and card games. So… movies! Obvi.
We reported a month ago that Hollywood were falling the ferk over themselves in order to begin work on a live-action Pokémon movie, and Deadline reported that Legendary Pictures had the lead on it.
And this has turned out to be fact; Legendary are officially making a live-action version of the upcoming game, ‘Detective Pikachu‘.
And in more exciting news, they’ve gotten two writers into talks – Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch
Perlman is a Marvel alumni – she penned ‘Thor’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘, and is now working on the ‘Captain Marvel‘ film. Hirsch created Disney cult favourite ‘Gravity Falls’.
The pair are currently in negotiation for the film.
So don’t hold your breath; work hasn’t even begun yet. But this will be all of us at the cinema eventually:
