‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Scores Spin-Off About Hot Firemen Who Save Lives & Fuck

There is only so much death, drama, natural disasters, shootings, gripping personal stories and interdepartmental fucking one hospital can take, so after thirteen seasons, ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ is…. going to keep going! Ha ha, almost got you there. Little TV cancellation humour for ya.

The real point of this story is that Shonda Rhime‘s OG show of the Shonda Trifecta (the other two being ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ and ‘Scandal‘) is getting another spin-off.

ABC has given a straight to series order of a Grey’s spin-off set in a Seattle firehouse, presumably about hot, sexy firemen and women as they save the day, get too wrapped up in the personal lives of the people they’re saving, and scandalously sleep with one another. Hopefully they’ll be wearing their fun oversized booties while they’re doing it.

“No one can interweave the jeopardy firefighters face in the line of duty with the drama in their personal lives quite like Shonda, and ‘Grey’s’ signature Seattle setting is the perfect backdrop for this exciting spinoff,” said ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey.

The series will be spearheaded by Grey’s showrunner Stacy McKee, with Rhimes and Betsy Beers executive producing.

Grey’s last spinoff, the Kate Walsh-led ‘Private Practise‘, ran for six seasons, and while this writer never quite bothered (save for the forced cross-over episodes), it was apparently quite good.

[SPOILER ALERT]

And while many Grey’s fans gave up after Patrick Dempsey‘s character Derek Shepherd died, Variety reports that the show has enjoyed a ratings resurgence during the past two seasons.

Honestly, I can’t think why.

Anyway, there’s hot sexy fireman television to look forward to, which will likely be introduced to Grey’s by some big fire emergency. Might be time to start catching up, to be honest.
