‘GoT’ Actress Sophie Turner Denies She Dropped N-Word In Deleted Insta Vid

Truly the most incredible genre of celebrity news is anything involving a starlet reportedly dropping a racial slur on a Snapchat or Instagram story. Here’s the cycle: the (white) celeb drops something that sounds a lot like the N-bomb, there’s outrage, then they issue a statement claiming they said something different.

Well, here’s phase two playing out again. Sophie Turner from Game of Thrones has been in bucketloads of hot water after it is alleged she said the N-word in a recent Instagram story posted by DJ/fitness guru Brendan Fallis featuring her and her boyfriend Joe Jonas.
It’s been deleted, but obviously the internet never forgets. More specifically, Instagram account BALLER ALERT never forgets.

It does sound a whole lot like that’s what she said, but Turner told Page Six that she was actually saying the dramatically less offensive word ‘motherfucker’. You be the judge.
“I used the word ‘motherfuckers’ in a recent video posted in an Instagram story and not a hateful racial slur that has been suggested,” the actress said in the statement. “I am incredibly upset that anyone would think otherwise, and I want to make it clear that I would never use such an abhorrent word.”

Well there you go. Now we’re moving into phase three of this story: when everyone basically forgets it happene and continues madly speculating on the next season of Game of Thrones.
