Very good news for very big nerds: the Magic: The Gathering movie is one step closer to being on your movie screens with the hiring of Game Of Thrones writer Bryan Cogman writer to pen the screenplay.
There are scant few details yet about the film, although, as Deadline notes, it may well follow the game’s winning formula: “There are creatures, wizards and magic spells and players use all of them to defeat each other.”
As well as writing for Game Of Thrones, Cogman is a producer and story editor on the HBO series, meaning 20th Century Fox must have had to tap like, MINIMUM 8 mana to play him for the Magic movie. Excuse me. I’ll show myself out.
