A raft of new on-set shots from Game Of Thrones‘ final season has arrived, which is great news for everyone who enjoys staring at the haggard and battle-worn denizens of Westeros.

Following on from some sneaky teasers – and an inexplicable Super Bowl commercial for Bud Light – the images give a crystal clear look at the show’s surviving players.

Look, it’s Jon Snow (Kit Harington), a guy who was once dead and could very likely wind up dead again:

Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), who has become quite good at snuffing out lives herself:

Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), whose team-up with her nephew Jon might just save the entire continent from the unholy onslaught of the White Walkers:

And there’s a slew of other choice images, too, showcasing a broad variety of frowns, scowls, grimaces, and grins from the cast. Shout-outs to Samwell Tarly (John Bradley), who looks like he’s been distracted by an old-school The Simpsons re-run on the Citadel‘s only TV.

Game Of Thrones returns to HBO on April 14. While the characters above will all be kicking when that date arrives, you’re probably better off not getting to attached to them – or their very moody portraits.
