Gabriella Goat Namesake Sues Peppa Pig For “Ridicule”

Peppa Pig, nefarious instrument of feminism beloved by kids everywhere, is being sued by an Italian woman named Gabriella Goat on the completely reasonable grounds that it sucks to share your name with an anthropomorphic farm animal.
Seems legit. Gabriella Capra, 40, whose last name literally means “goat” in Italian, is suing London-based animation studio Astley Baker Davies for $143,000 for being horrible people and failing to ensure the name Gabriella Goat was unique to their TV show, lest it cause offence to a litigious middle-aged Italian woman.
In a statement quoted in the Italian media, the Italian national foundation of consumers (FNC) claimed her goat namesake has lead to merciless teasing by the woman’s friends and colleagues and exposed her to public scorn and ridicule, and now, the Streisand Effect.
“Ever since this episode of the cartoon came out the real Gabriella Capra had suffered taunts from her peers,” the statement said. “Through us, therefore, our member has submitted a request of €100,000 in damages to the English company, and any resulting sum will be entirely donated to voluntary associations looking after abandoned children.”
Thoughts, Peppa?
