Patrick Dempsey Confirmed That He Will Back For The Enchanted Sequel, Which Is Magical News

It’s been 13 years since Enchanted, the modern-day fairytale, graced our screens. But now it looks like we’ll finally be getting a sequel, and Patrick Dempsey has now confirmed that he will be coming back for the second movie.

In December, at Disney’s Investor Day presentation they confirmed that a sequel to Enchanted called Disenchanted was in the works, and Amy Adams would be back to revive her role as Giselle. But it wasn’t until Friday, that Patrick Dempsey announced that he would be back as well.

Speaking on Good Morning America, Dempsey spoke about the upcoming film and when they might begin filming.

“I just got this script for the second movie, and that I’m starting to go through and get notes together,” Dempsey said.

“There’s talk that we’ll start shooting that in the spring [our autumn].”

In the OG movie, Adams plays Giselle, a cartoon princess that gets banished to modern-day New York and meets normal man Robert Philip, who is played by Dempsey. The film also features a number of other big-name celebs like James Marsden (Prince Edward), Idina Menzel (Nancy Tremaine), Julie Andrews (The Narrator) and Susan Sarandon (Queen Narissa).

Of course, Giselle ends up falling in love with the normie. However, it doesn’t come without any road blocks, like the evil Queen Narissa or Prince Edward (who is meant to be Giselle’s Prince Charming).

At the end of the film, Robert and Giselle end up together and they finally get their “happily ever after.” So it will be interesting to see what happens in the sequel, when the original ties up all the loose ends.

Well, let’s hope the sequel is anything but disenchanting.

Disenchanted will be available to stream on Disney+.
