Eddie Murphy Revives Axel Foley For Beverly Hills Cop 4

The original will turn 30 this December, but that hasn’t stopped Eddie Murphy from announcing a fourth installment in his Beverly Hills Cop franchise.

According to reports, March 2016 will see wisecracking detective Axel Foley return to both the big screen and his Detroit roots in what’s sure to be the most hotly-anticipated Eddie Murphy sequel since The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps.
It’ll be directed by Brett Ratner (X-Men 3) and written by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol writers Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, so you know it’s gonna be, well, a movie. It’ll at least be a movie. Just be glad it’s not The Nutty Professor III.
