Just for a moment, think about all of the shit that’s been hurled at US President Barack Obama over the past eight years, not least the racially-motivated conspiracy theory regarding his birthplace.
Think about how dignified the bloke has been in the face of that baseless garbage. How his responses have been clean, sharp, and actually pretty funny.
Now, consider this: Donald Trump, the man who helped propagate that “birther” rumour in the first place, couldn’t help but have another strop about Saturday Night Live’s impression of him. And he’s not even president yet.
The man who will become the 45th POTUS has, once again, taken offence at the variety show’s legitimately gentle impersonation. For the second time, Alec Baldwin’s shouty, squinty take has received a thumbs-down Tweet review:
Just tried watching Saturday Night Live – unwatchable! Totally biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonation just can’t get any worse. Sad

Yes indeed. Trump figured there was nothing more important to be doing with his time than catching SNL. Not sleeping. Not working. Watching the second episode of Saturday Night Live since he won the election.
Watch the clip below, and ask yourself: if this shit gets to him, what happens when he faces a legitimately powerful opponent?
