Per DeadlineCriminal is a procedural set in France, Spain, Germany, and the UK. Each country has three 45-minute episodes so that’s 12 episodes in total, in its local language. The series comes from Killing Eve writer George Kay and Jim Field Smith, the director of She’s Out of My League.

According to its synopsis, the series will introduce viewers to 12 unique crime stories set exclusively within the confines of a police interrogation suite.

Netflix describes the show as a “stripped down, cat-and-mouse drama that will focus on the intense mental conflict between the police officer and the suspect in question.”
