Hey Cool Girls, the first trailer for David Fincher’s adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s best-selling novel Gone Girl has arrived, in which we find Ben Affleck struggling to fight off accusations he’s responsible for the disappearance of his seemingly perfect wife, Rosamund Pike, under suspicious circumstances on their fifth year anniversary. Flynn’s dual narrative novel was and still is requisite reading for book club members and literate fans of thrillers alike; her screenwriting adaptation, however, will contain a third act entirely different from the original.
Gone Girl also stars Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, Scoot McNairy, Missi Pyle, Casey Wilson, your buxom imaginary mistress Emily Ratajkowski and Neil Patrick Harris, cannot open soon enough and is slated to bow October 3rd.
