Watch The Chilling Trailer For ‘Dark Places’ From The Author Of ‘Gone Girl’

Following on the heels of David Fincher‘s ‘Gone Girl’ success at the box office, Director Gilles Paquet-Brenner is bringing author Gillian Flynn‘s second novel preceding ‘Gone Girl’, ‘Dark Places’, to life.

An all-star cast featuring Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Chloe Grace Mortez, Christina Hendricks and Corey Stoll (‘House of Cards’), ‘Dark Places’ follows “A woman who survived the brutal killing of her family as a child is forced to confront the events of that day by a secret society obsessed with solving notorious crimes.” Unlike ‘Gone Girl’, Gillian Flynn has not penned the film’s screenplay.

Its chilling trailer, which feels like ‘Gone Girl’ meets ‘True Detective‘, has just been released.

It’s slated for release later this year. Set phasers to “KEEN” and watch below.
