Here’s Your First Godly Look At Chris Hemsworth’s New Thriller Flick

Despite still basking in the almighty success of Avengers: Infinity War, Chris Hemsworth has given us our first look at his new thriller flick, Bad Times at the El Royale.

Folks, that is such a sleek title.

The film is written and directed by Drew Goddard, a screenwriter, director, and producer who has a massive portfolio including Cloverfield, The Martian, World War Z, and Netflix’s Daredevil. The man also has writing credits for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alias, and Lost so this film’s going to give one hell of a punch.

This isn’t the first time Goddard and Hemsworth have worked together either. Goddard is also behind the hugely successful fan-favourite Cabin in the Woods also starring Hemsworth as Curt Vaughan.

If that’s not enough to sell you on the film, Bad Times at the El Royale boasts a stellar cast with talent like Dakota Johnson, John Hamm, Jeff Bridges, Nick Offerman, Cailee Spaeny, and Manny Jacinto.

I have no idea what’s going on here but I am intrigued:

Hemsworth shared the flick’s synopsis on his Instagram:

“Set in the 1960s, seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption – before everything goes to hell.”

The Thor actor also said the film “was one of the best scripts I’ve ever read and I can’t wait for you all to see it.”

I mean, if Thor says it’s the best, it’s the best.

Judging by these two pictures below, the film looks spectacular.

As Channing Tatum commented:

Extremely attractive human being aside, Bad Times at the El Royale sounds genuinely fantastic and will hit cinemas this October.

Stay tuned for the trailer.
