Britney Spears’ Latest Blaze Is Her 3rd Candle-Related Fire, So It’s Time Hide The Matches

Earlier today, we reported that Ms Britney Spears had accidentally set her gym ablaze thanks to some pesky candles.

“I’m in my gym right now,” she told her Instagram followers. “I haven’t been in here for like 6 months because I burnt my gym down, unfortunately. I had two candles, and, yeah, one thing led to another and I burnt it down.”

As it turns out, this wasn’t her first candle-blazing rodeo.

According to a 2002 E! article, Britney has set fire to her abode not once but twice before. TWICE.

According to the article, Lynne Spears (matriarch of the Spears clan) had written a blog entry on BritneySpears.com reporting that Britney set fire to a New York city apartment. “Brit had left a candle burning in front of an air vent,” she’d apparently written. “The wall caught on fire, and the fire department had to come to put it out.”

In the same blog post, Lynne then recounted a time when Britney lit up her bathroom in their family Louisiana home thanks to another rogue candle.

Three candle-related fires. I repeat, three candle-related fires. They’re obviously all accidents, but still, fuck.
