Brad calls Angelina’s Double Mastectomy “absolutely heroic”

In a courageous op-ed published in The New York Times yesterday, Angelina Jolie revealed details of the double mastectomy surgeries she underwent over three months, the last of these on April 27.

Her painstaking revelation pivoted on a backbone of family solidarity and love for her fiancé and six children— and, was a super refreshing admission, starkly devoid of your classic celeb gossip persuasions.

Today, Brad Pitt reinforces the powerful move, telling British newspaper The London Evening Standard that “having witnessed this decision firsthand, I find Angie’s choice, as well as so many others like her, absolutely heroic.”

He continues, “I thank our medical team for their care and focus. All I want for is for her to have a long and healthy life, with myself and our children. This is a happy day for our family.”
Angelina had similar sentiments for her fiancé, commenting in her op-ed: “I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive… We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has”.
