FUCK YEAH Bill Nye The Science Guy is getting his own talk show!
That’s right, it’s confirmed that the science-y fella will have his own talk show on Netflix by the end of 2017, which is super bloody exciting. Why, you ask? Because science motherfucker, that’s why.
The show is called ‘Bill Nye Saves The World’, and according to Variety, it will explore scientific topics and how they’ve impacted politics, society, and pop culture.
‘Each episode of the series will tackle a topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry.’

Despite the fact that ‘Bill Nye The Science Guy’ was a fundamentally series of 90s and Bill hasn’t been on TV since, he’s still a household name and pretty regularly pops up in memes.
He even guest-starred as himself in an episode of ‘Inside Amy’ with Amy Schumer, (where he hilariously explained that the universe’s cosmic forces CLEARLY have no other purpose than to send signals to women in the 20s).
So it’s really no wonder Netflix decided to give him his long-awaited return to television.
Nye said this about the announcement:
“Since the start of the ‘Science Guy’ show, I’ve been on a mission to change the world by getting people everywhere excited about the fundamental ideas in science.Today, I’m excited to be working with Netflix on a new show, where we’ll discuss the complex scientific issues facing us today, with episodes on vaccinations, genetically modified foods and climate change.With the right science and good writing, we’ll do our best to enlighten and entertain our audience. And, perhaps we’ll change the world a little.”
