It is the most famous baby in the world, and yet the first infant child of illuminati power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z is causing great confusion because of the nouveau name she has been dealt. It’s either Ivy Blue or Blue Ivy.
Cue this en masse:
After initial “reports” that the baby’s name was Ivy Blue, all-knowing Goop queen and Bey-Z best friend, Gwyneth Paltrow, threw a spanner in the works after making the twitter announcement “Welcome to the world, Blue!” – which must mean either she has just discovered R&B singer Blue Cantrell, or the baby’s name really is Blue. (Gwyneth Paltrow is definitely not urban enough to refer to a newborn baby by their second name. That’s just obnoxious.)
Her tweet provoked a wave of responses, some of which questioning Gwyneth’s reliability as a source:
…But eventually Gwyneth confirmed that yes Blue is indeed the name of the child:
