Benedict Cumberbatch Is Evil In New ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Trailer

The filmmaking team behind the eagerly anticipated inevitable blockbuster Star Trek Into Darkness have been frustratingly tight-lipped on the details of the movie’s plot, new characters and character relationships explored in the movie. Star Trek fans can only hazard a guess as to what exactly the vague story synopsis (see below trailer) might be hiding between the highly generic lines. However, the latest high-action film trailer (trailer number TWENTY-FIVE), gives us the first proper introduction to Benedict Cumberbatch as the terrifically eloquent as-yet-unidentified villain whose eye contact game is bang on.

The Australian release date for Star Trek Into Darkness is 9 May 2013. This shit just got exciting.

Synopsis:

When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
