Ben Stiller Offers Lady Gaga The Essence Of $4.6 Million For ‘Zoolander’ Sequel

According to British tabloid The Sun – so this probably comes straight from the clotheshorse’s mouth – free-speech advocate, fragrance mogul, wearer of hats, Rebel Wilson fangirl and occasional performer, Lady Gaga, has reportedly been offered £3 million from actor, director and co-writer Ben Stiller for a role in the ridiculously good-looking sequel to cult fashunz comedy Zoolander, because

And also because money, $4.6 million AUD’s of money.

Gaga, who is also rumoured to be making a contribution to Baz Luhrmann’s Great Gatsby soundtrack along with Prince – hence its delayed release – has supposedly been offered the role of a love interest between formal rival male models Derek Zoolander and Hansel, with the always good for a quote A. Hollywood Source telling the tabloid: “Gaga is top of their wish-list. She has the talent and attitude – and an amazing sense of humour.

Apparently the hard to impress Kate Moss, the easy to impress Kate Upton, the camera ready spinster Heidi Klum and the buoyant Adriana Lima are also candidates up for the role. I hope Upton gets the role because she’s a very vocal devotee of Lee Strasberg’s method, and also because acting skills:

Early last year, Stiller confirmed to Empire that he had written the script with noted front rower Mr Aniston and hinted at the sequel’s plot and possible reappearances from Will Ferrell: “Where it’s at is we’ve completed the script, Justin Theroux and I, and handed it into the studio…Now the studio has the script and we’re at that point where we’re waiting to see what they want to do. It’s ten years later and most of it is set in Europe. I don’t want to give away too much, but it’s basically Derek and Hansel ten years later – though the last movie ended on a happy note a lot of things have happened in the meantime. Their lives have changed and they’re not really relevant anymore. It’s a new world for them. Will Ferrell is written into the script and he’s expressed interest in doing it. I think Mugatu is an integral part of the Zoolander story, so yes, he features in a big way.

Gaga née Germanotta’s silver screen debut would no doubt be a huge drawcard for the sequel at the box office – the buying power of Little Monsters is undeniable. But damnit Derek, she’s a mermaid, not a professional film or television actor.
