Who says you can’t find love in the artificially manufactured conditions of a reality show? Not Georgia Love and Lee Elliott, that’s for sure, who are celebrating their one year anniversary after meeting on ‘The Bachelorette‘ in front of half a dozen cameras… and a donkey.
(Belated question: did Lee ever explain the donkey schtick? Or was he going for the subtle ‘hung-like-a-donkey’ metaphor?)
Both parties in question have posted extremely an extremely gushy Instagram about how it’s been one whole year since they met, which is hilarious imo because at that moment in time Georgia was also dating a dozen other hopefuls.
“One year ago today whilst out walking my donkey I randomly met not only my best friend but the love of my life,” wrote Lee. “I can’t believe it’s only been a year, I feel like I’ve known you my whole life.”
“I cannot believe it’s been a year since this night!” wrote Georgia. “A year since my life indelibly changed as 15 guys stepped out of a limo to meet me and one just happened to be out walking his donkey just at the right time.”
GUYS WE GET IT, THE DONKEY WAS TOTALLY RANDOM HAHAHAHA.
“A year since he first made me laugh, gave me his jacket and looked at me with the most mesmerising eyes I’ve ever looking into,” Georgia continued. “I began to fall for him that very moment and I haven’t stopped since.”
Awwwww. Alright, congrats guys. Now, when the hell do Matty J and Sophie Monk‘s respective seasons start?
