Looks Like ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Will Be 3 Hours Long So RIP Your Tushies

Avengers: Endgame

If your butt was ridiculously numb after watching Avengers: Infinity War then this news might not thrill you. The Russo Brothers, super siblings behind a string of Marvel films, have revealed the running time for Avengers: Endgame is still sitting at the three-hour mark.

Back in November of last year, Joe Russo told fans on Instagram the running time for Avengers: Endgame was “currently sitting right at three hours. We’ll see if that holds.”

Two months later, it bloody well has.

“We’re still at the three-hour mark,” Joe told Collider.

If this doesn’t change, Endgame will be Marvel Studios’ longest ever movie.

Of course, there’s a ton of work still to come in editing but as it stands, the Russo Brothers and Disney are happy with the length considering there’s just so much content to cover.

“I think the studio is down with what the best story is. Right now, we think the movie is playing well and we’ve had great responses from our test audiences and we’re feeling very good about where it is. We’re still doing work to it.

“We’re not done with it. Again, this is a culmination film of 22 movies, it’s a lot of storytelling to work into it.

“Emotion is an intrinsic part of that to us. When you have to tell a really complicated story and you want strong emotional moments with the characters, it just requires a certain amount of real estate. This one, in particular, feels like three hours worth of real estate.”

Avengers: Infinity War‘s running time was two hours and 40 minutes so really, what’s an extra 20 or so minutes on your tush?

As far as test screenings go, it appears not too many people are troubled by the length.

“We have screened the movie four times for audiences now,” Anthony Russo told the publication. “For the first three screenings, not a single person got up to go to the bathroom.”

Avengers: Endgame will fly into cinemas April 26, 2019.
