Overnight, Plaza appeared on the American Today show, where she explained how she got the role of voicing Grumpy Cat – that’s Tardar Sauce if you’re nasty – and how she bonded with her actual, literal spirit animal.
The interview was a little on the awkward side, and we’re pretty sure host Tamron Hall referred to her as ‘Audrey Plaza’ at one point, but we really wouldn’t have it any other way.
