Earlier this week, 2019 Bachelorette contestant and Noosa councillor Jess Glasgow revealed that he plans to fight a $4,000 fine he received from the state councillor regulator as a result of his controversial stint on the 2019 season of The Bachelorette, starring Angie Kent, claiming he copped the infamous ~bad edit~.

Jess Glasgow appeared on just two eps before being unceremoniously booted. At the time of filming, Glasgow was also on the Noosa City Council, but after he was yeeted from the show, the Councillor Conduct Tribunal ordered him to pay an additional $1,000 to reimburse them for costs associated with the incident, claiming he would’ve been fired had he not taken the leave anyway. Which means he now owes $5K.

Last night, Angie Kent took to her Instagram to blast the bloke in a lengthy Instagram post.

“Last week, the counsellor conduct tribunal went ahead for the Jess Glasgow investigation into his behaviour on my season of The Bachelorette,” she began.

She went on to say that she was “torn” about whether or not to say anything about the incident but decided it was her duty to do so for other women.

“This situation isn’t just about me, it is what we have been enduring overall as women for centuries,” she wrote.

Angie Kent revealed that Jess “did apologise to me after the episode aired” and she thought that it “was the chance for growth and recognition from him and for any other man who didn’t care for this kind of situation when they were watching it.”

She was then disappointed to see that two years after the fact, he’s now blaming his “shameful performances on an edit.”

“If it was hugely edited then why did I feel so embarrassed and humiliated?” She also revealed that the other blokes on the show, plus several crew members, took issue with his behaviour as well.

She added, “Women are not collateral damage for the male ego. We know it’s been a culture of learned entitlement… which we can unlearn!”

Angie Kent then posted an IGTV featuring Jess Glasgow, just to remind folks of his behaviour on the show:

ICYMI: Jamie Doran, who starred alongside Jess Glasgow in the 2019 season of The Bachelorette, shed some light on what went down while being interviewed by the So Dramatic! podcast.

“In the famous episode where Angie is the farmer’s wife, I’m the farmer, and Jess is the horse’s ass and he made the ‘wandering fingers’ comment and lost his job over it, they were coming in and saying things like, ‘The whole idea of this shoot is to get your wild side out, so get a bit crazy, get a bit kinky, be stupid,’” Jamie said.

“And yeah Jess said that comment, but they’ve hung him for that and Jess is a really good friend of mine.”

He added, “I don’t know if it was ‘kinky’, but it was naughty or something like that.”

“He lost his job, his family haven’t taken it well, and he’s still in a dark place over it,” he concluded, insisting that he isn’t the “villain” everyone thinks he is, adding that he was “encouraged to behave that way by the producers.”
