Amy Schumer & JLaw Make Dreams Come True, Will Co-Write & Star In Film

The evolution of Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence‘s blossoming friendship is—without doubt—the most beautiful thing to emerge from 2015.

Doodlebug
, mate, you tried. But no dice.

On July 10, Amy Schumer reacted to Jennifer Lawrence uttering the words “Amy Schumer” on live TV.

By July 30, they were doing this.

And by today, August 27, Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence are 100 pages deep into a screenplay they’re writing together, in which they play sisters, according to the New York Times.

We’re coping. This is fine.

Jennifer Lawrence told the New York Times:

“We’re almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We’ve got about 100 pages right now. Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing.

And then we send each other pages. And we crack up. I’m flying out tomorrow to see her in Chicago. We’ll write a little bit with her sister, Kim, who worked with Amy when she was writing ‘Trainwreck.’”

I repeat.

Lawrence told the NYT how she phrased her first email to Schumer. “…’I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you.’ We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting.”

No word yet on any further details of the partnership or the film whatsoever; just take solace, however, in the fact that this is a thing that will most certainly exist.
