Amy Schumer Sent Jennifer Lawrence A Brutally Blunt Note After Her Breakup

Cards on the table here, I want Jennifer Lawrence to keep making movies forever, just so she can keep on doing press tours forever, because goddammit, this woman has the business of being a talk show guest down to a fine art.

Lawrence is currently on the publicity trail for Red Sparrow, and she recently stopped by Andy Cohen‘s Watch What Happens Live to answer some viewer questions and get on the sauce, chugging back some rosé while chatting with Andy.

When a fan asked about the status of the movie script she wrote with good pal Amy Schumer, Lawrence replied that they had a table read around two weeks ago, and are currently looking for a director and a date to start filming.

She also said that when she and her Mother! director Darren Aronofsky ended their relationship, Schumer had some … brutally frank words of condolence. She explained:

“When Darren and I first broke up, I told her and I was really sad. The next day I got a bouquet of flowers delivered and I said, ‘What is this?’ I bring the bouquet of flowers in and there was a note that says, ‘I’m so sorry to hear you’re gonna die alone. Love, Amy.’”

Brutal, but that’s what friends are for.

A while back, Jennifer Lawrence said that her ideal dinner guests would be Real Housewives Of New York City grand dames Luann De Lesseps and Bethenny Frankel, as well as Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Scott Disick.

Because he has that kind of power, Andy assembled two of the three to join Lawrence in her rosé-drinking sesh, causing her to lose her goddamn mind when the curtain dropped to reveal them. Go ahead and watch her moment of pure joy:
