The list of reasons to love Amber Rose is now even longer, thanks to the excellent breakup advice she just gave to Iggy Azalea, weighing in on the rapper’s recent split from Nick Young.
Iggs and Young recently called off their year-long engagement, not long after which, it came to light that Young’s ex, with whom he already has one child, is pregnant again.
At the time, Iggy said: “I broke up with Nick because I found out he had brought other women into our home while I was away and caught them on the security footage.”
Earlier this weekend, model, actress and generally fairly excellent human being Rose took to Instagram, to share some characteristically blunt advice. Amber’s full post read:
“My heart goes out to you @thenewclassic I have been through heartbreak as well so I know what ur going through. Stay strong and keep ur head up my Rosebuds and I support you and we think ur AMAZING!!! Not only beautiful but extremely talented! I remember watching ur YouTube videos a few years back thinking “Wow this girl is gonna be a star” and you are! Let all the hate go in one ear and out the other…. Trust me I deal with just as much hate if not more. The great thing is it’s the beginning of the summer and now you can be a hoe! Lol Date a bunch of hot guys and give yourself some new cool options … #NoCuffingSeason BUT seriously if you wanted to take Nick back cuz the Love is still there… Fucking do it!!! And Fuck what the world gotta say! Muva is here for you either way sweetheart and so is so many other people that love you”
Long story short: ‘you’re a free woman now get out there and bang a bunch of hot dudes if you want, because you’re totally at liberty to do that.’
Kanye‘s recent Famous video features a likeness of Amber Rose among various other nude celebrities, and earlier this week, when asked about it, she complained about the fact that she is still referred to mainly as his ex in many media outlets.
“The misconception – and I still hear this seven years later, to this day – is, ‘You’re only famous for Kanye.’ Initially, absolutely. In 2009, when they’re like, ‘Amber Rose – Kanye’s girlfriend,’ I was like, ‘OK, that’s pretty accurate. That’s what it is.’ But I didn’t ask to be famous, and I didn’t even talk or do interviews for two years, because I thought, ‘I don’t want this. I’m not famous.’”“Over time, with going out in public, I realised it would never go away, so I didn’t have any choice but to progress. Everything I’ve done since then is my own doing, and I’ve worked my ass off for everything I have. But Wendy Williams put Charlamagne on. Jay Z put Kanye on! But they don’t do that to men, and they always want to diminish my accomplishments and put them on someone else when I work really hard.”
