Adelaide Pooch Breaks World Record For Loudest Bark

Fresh off its triumphant victory as Australia’s Most Liveable City comes yet another major coup for Adelaide with a local resident claiming a new Guinness World Record over the weekend. A huge congratulations to Charlie the Golden Retriever who has smashed the Guinness World Record for Loudest Bark by an Individual Dog!

Charlie’s bark of 113.1db was (according to a press release) 42 times louder than everyday conversation and the same volume as a loud rock concert which might also mean Charlie is the first instance of a golden retriever that the neighbours actually don’t like.

Charlie’s record smashed the previous record set in London in 2009 by a white German Shepherd named Daz, bringing the title to Australia for the very first time. Saying ‘eat shit’ to Daz is probably redundant because Daz is a dog.

Ronratulations, Rarlie.
