A Shrine To ‘Stranger Things’ Angel Barb Popped Up At San Diego Comic-Con

If there has been one big takeaway from Netflix‘s totally-bingeable ‘Stranger Things’ (aside from just about everything from it because it’s amazing), it was Barb: Nancy’s best friend with glorious 80’s style whose death was so undignified that hardly anyone mentions her in the following episodes. It was awful, the fan backlash has been swift, and people haven’t stopped talking about her since.
It’s reached a point that the show runners have had to confirm that yes, Barb is very very dead and not coming back. Sad reacts only.
Which makes the latest chapter in the #JusticeForBarb saga all the more heart-warming. With San Diego Comic Con – the annual pop culture convention/press junket/nerd Mecca – opening today, Netflix has unveiled a mini-exhibit for the 80’s themed sci-fi hit. And front-and-centre is an exquisite, and exquisitely kitsch, shrine to Barb herself.

Complete with pictures of Barb at a variety of different ages, candles, and a rose-covered wreath with a sash saying “Gone but not forgotten” the whole thing is absolutely adorable and tacky and we are certain there’s few other ways to honour the sweetest angel of Hawkins herself.
Of course, fans are having all the feels imaginable.

Actress Shannon Purser also took to Twitter to confirm that she supplied most of the pics in the shrine.

It’s not quite justice, but we’ll take it nonetheless.
