A Brooklyn Baseball Team Held a ‘Seinfeld’ Anniversary Night

This week marks the 25-year anniversary of the first episode of Seinfeld, and to mark this special occasion, New York’s Brooklyn Cyclones baseball team threw a blow-out, Seinfeld-themed celebration.

They really went all out for the event, renaming their home field at Coney Island Vandelay Industries Park, in honour of George‘s fake business venture. Not only that, they managed to get The Soup Nazi himself – actor Larry Thomas – to throw the first pitch.
No home runs for you!
The team offered free entry to any fan who could produce a business card proving that they were a latex salesman, and gave away Keith Hernandez “Magic Loodie” bobblehead dolls to the first 2500 people through the gates.

People ate cereal on the field, in honour of Jerry‘s favourite food, and there was an Elaine Benes dance-off held at half-time. The information kiosk at the field was transformed into a centre for the “airing of grievances”.

The real life Kenny Kramer, the inspiration behind the show’s break-out character, even turned up to sign autographs for fans. Nobody mentioned anything about the bathroom situation, but hopefully they were well-stocked, to avoid this sort of unpleasantness:

Sadly, the Cyclones lost the game 18-2.
