50 Cent Apologises For Mocking Disabled Airport Employee In Insta Vid

50 Cent was in hot water over the past day for a video posted to Instagram in which he filmed Andrew Farrell, a disabled employee at Cincinatti/Northern Kentucky Airport, and mocked him for looking “high as a motherfucker”. It was pretty clear Fiddy didn’t realise the dude was disabled, but also like… c’mon man.

In the vid, 50 follows Farrell as he pushes a cart and speaks to him, thinking he’s high, while Farrel – who has issues communicating because of his disability – ignores him.
After huge and immediate uproar in the comments on the Instagram post which led 50 to delete the photo, an apology has been offered to Farrell and his family.
“While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, I am truly sorry for offending the young man […] It was certainly not my intent to insult him or the disabled community, which is a source of great strength in America. I have apologised personally to him and his family.”

Initial reports suggested that the family were seeking damages, but it looks like that isn’t the case – the family’s attorney said they’d be fine with a sincere apology, which it looks like they’ve got.

“The family only wants a sincere apology from Mr. Jackson,” the attorney said prior to Fiddy’s mea culpa. “The Cincinnati area loves Mr. Jackson and his work and I think it can only be mutually beneficial if he is willing to offer an apology to Andrew and his family.”

C’mon Curtis. Get it together, my dude.
