Sean Paul & Shaggy Heading Up NZ’s One Love Reggae Fest As It Hits Aus For The First Time

New Zealand Reggae Festival One Love Coming To The Gold Coast In 202

SEAN PAUL AND SHAGGY ARE COMING TO QUEENSLAND NEXT YEAR. I shouldn’t need to go on from here, but I will.

Not sure if you noticed, but the Sunny State is booming with new music festivals lately. In fact, it’s the fifth new music fest announced for the area in the next six months. I am living for it.

I’m particularly living for the announcement of a hugely popular New Zealand reggae festival, One Love, hitting the Gold Coast in 2020 – it’s first-ever trip over to Australia.

I don’t know about you, but teenage club-rat me is ABSOLUTELY dying at the fact Sean Paul is coming back to Australia next year and offering the chance for us to shake our things one more time. Sure, I was 18 several years after Dutty Rock was release, but it was still a ‘thing’. No joke, I’ve had his songs in my head for the last 30-minutes since I first read the news, and I’m not mad about it.

In fact, let’s all just take a moment to relive it, shall we?

Full disclosure, I looked NOTHING like these people when I danced to this song. I looked more like a whacky inflatable arm man.

There is also a LOT to be said for Shaggy’s ‘Wasn’t Me’. Imagine the whole crowd singing along, in the QLD summer. Perfection. Yes, I am going, even if I don’t get to eat for a couple of weeks to afford tickets. Although they’re $129 which is actually pretty decent.

It all goes down at Southport’s Broadwater Parklands on the Goldie next yeah on Saturday the first of February. Get your tickets next week on Weddy, September 11 right here – but do not sell them out before I get mine, please and thank you.
