An American expat is going viral on TikTok for saying Aussie KFC is way better than American KFC, and superiority never tasted so good.
The TikTok shows an American woman called Sophia unwrapping and displaying her burger and wrap from KFC while she talks on a voice over about how our fast-food is so much better and “more fresh” than it is in America.
“This is the first time I am trying KFC in Australia,” Sophia said in the video.
“I swear the fast food in Australia is so much better than the fast food in America because the quality of the food is just a lot better, like you can see it in the photos and the videos as well.”

Sophia also said Maccas is way better here too and that her friends back in LA are shook at how good our burgers look.

Obvs I’m unreasonably chuffed that our food is better, despite the fact that it has nothing to do with me, and I’m going to ride that wave for the rest of the day – but seriously, what is it with American fast food?
Every single Aussie I know who’s been to America always complains about how nasty and over-processed the fast food can be over there (not to mention the coffee, which is downright offensive). As someone who’s never had the displeasure of experiencing American fast food, I have to ask – how is it so bad over there that people are actually excited and impressed at the humble KFC burger?? What are they feeding you??

Most people in the comments claimed the difference in taste was because we have fresher ingredients, and ugh, you know it’s rough out there when any fast food is considered fresh and healthy. Don’t get me wrong, nothing gives me more satisfaction than a greasy burger in my hands, but part of the joy is in the fact that what I’m eating is naughty.
But there you have it folks – Australia is superior to America in terms of fast food, and I’m going to revel in these newfound bragging rights.
