Calling All Plant-Based Heauxs: A Vegan KitKat Is Coming & No, It’s Not More Dark Chocolate

Vegan KitKat

Calling all vegans, plant-based heauxs, and just anyone who fkn loves their choccies – Nestlé is releasing a brand new vegan KitKat and YES, bless the heavens for vegan treats that aren’t just raw dates. If I see *one* more vegan dessert that is actually just a glorified protein ball, I am going to lose my goddamned mind.

Nestlé has just announced a new vegan KitKat called KitKat V, which uses rice-based milk instead of regular dairy so us herbivores can finally enjoy a chocolate that isn’t so dark I can see the abyss staring at me. Who decided dark chocolate was a decent vegan alternative to regular milk chocolate??? Who????

“We’ve seen so much excitement and anticipation from our fans when plans for the first vegan KitKat were announced earlier this year, so I’m thrilled to share that KitKat V will be coming to Australia,” Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery, Joyce Tan, told us.

We’re always looking for ways to make breaks meaningful for Aussies, so the team at KitKat is delighted to offer a delicious alternative for anyone looking to enjoy a plant-based break.”

The new vegan KitKats are the latest in a bunch of new plant-based alternatives Nestlé’s been dishing out for us, including plant-based Nescafé Gold coffee mixes, a plant-based Milo (with no milk solids so y’all heathens can stop justifying making Milo with milk instead of water), and a plant-based condensed milk alternative that I can’t wait to get my hands on for some vegan dulce de leche.

If you absolutely cannot wait to get this choccy in your gob, you can preorder the KitKat V at the KitKat website. Otherwise, you can grab it from your local Woolies Metro when it drops in-store on the 26th of July.
