Two Arrested In Sydney After Insanely Wild Christmas Day Beach Party

Christmas Day can get wild wherever you are – hell, Aunt Barb standing on the patio table belting out ‘How To Make Gravy‘ is a mild end to the festive day, tbh.

You know who went the most hard, though? Little Bay, Sydney, which saw 3,000 folks flock to the beach in full Santa gear for a wild Christmas beach party that turned ugly around 3pm.

Police were despatched from five different local command centres, and spent 2.5 hours shuffling people off the beach.

It wasn’t a simple operation, apparently – bottles were allegedly thrown at cops, with two officers being reported as injured after being assaulted.

But some party-goers allege that the shindig only went south after the po-po got involved.

According to ABC, some said officers used pepper spray on people, and were using unnecessary force resulting in injuries that were attended to by paramedics on the scene.

Two women aged 23 and 25 were arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station, but both have been granted conditional bail and will appear in court on Jan 31.

It’s all not very ~spirit of Christmas~, is it.
