Admit it. If actual news bulletins were delivered nightly by co-anchors John Oliver and the Cookie Monster, you’d watch that shit every single night. Ratings would skyrocket, as would sales of cookies. It’d be the best of both worlds! A more informed, and sweeter, public.
But because this is the real world where we can’t have nice things like that, we have to settle instead for a little taste of what might have been, with this video in which Oliver and Monster teach you a thing or two about words; including the only in-depth coverage of the disappearance of the letter C scandal to be found on the internet. Why the mass media isn’t reporting on this horrendous tragedy is mystifying. Me, I blame Murdoch.
