Watch P Diddy in Funny or Die Downton Abbey spoof

Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs loves Downton Abbey. Listen to him say “Yes I am an Abbey Head, proudly, yes yes yes” before watching him as an actual cast member of the show. He is also black, so watch him be enamoured at the prospect of being the first black guy in the period TV show.

Well, that’s what he lead everyone to believe was happening. Pumping out a dogged tweet campaign, touting the show his ‘all time favourite’ and emanating hi-nrg excitement for his upcoming role in the show, his hoax was lapped up like blended Yorkshire pudding. Fans tweeted him congratulations. He retweeted said congrats. Excitement mounted rapidly. “Downton Diddy,” everyone chanted to themselves hourly.
Turns out he starred in a Funny or Die video depicting the period tv show, not the real thing. Good gag, brother!

Here’s the video, legit called ‘Downton Diddy’, in which he plays the fictitious Lord Wolcott and new owner of Downton Abbey. Unable to pronounce the namesake, see him shouting “I LOVE DOWNTOWN ABBEY” while being an obnoxious, misogynistic pest. In a good way.
