Actor, performance artist and all-round loose human being Shia Labeouf has been arrested for pubic intoxication in the city of Austin, Texas, where he was attending the Austin City Limits festival.
There are conflicting accounts as to the details surrounding his arrest. Variety claim that he was seen walking erratically in downtown Austin, and “attempted to jaywalk in front of police officers after running down the street.”
Gossip monsters TMZ give a more detailed account, including an eyewitness statement that alleges:
“… before the arrest Shia and a woman tried walking into a bar but they were denied because they were too intoxicated. Shia began swearing up a storm and tried forcing himself into the bar but was blocked. Shia and the woman left and began walking.”
The actor was subsequently taken to Travis County Jail and booked for public intoxication.
This has been a year of highs and lows for Shia. There was that time he was recorded freestyle rapping in the woods; the time he got a rat tail and a pest control company offered to exterminate it; the time he was hospitalised for head-butting a window. We wish him all the best.
