While borders, religions and languages may divide us, take heart; at the core of the shared human spirit is an insatiable desire to get our mugs on camera.
Reporting on the mass migration through Greece, CNN reporter Arwa Damon was given an impromptu interview today from a young kid who was clearly just chuffed to have a chat.
Would be journos, take note. Damon’s perf on-camera demeanor, the sincerity of their chat, and the segue back onto the very serious issue of life in Turkey for Syrian migrants are all just top notch.
It’s still a long way from Leros to Lappland for our polite little mate, but those manners will serve him well on the journey.
