WOW, ok, so Labor MP and Manager of Opposition Business Tony Burke really is leading the public humiliation of Bronwyn Bishop.
First he demanded she be fired, calling the Speaker’s much-reported misuse of taxpayer’s money – aka #choppergate – “the height of arrogance”; now he’s gleefully suggested she be made to wear a ‘P’ plate after PM Tony Abbott announced she’s been placed on probation.
Speaking about the expense saga at a press conference in Melbourne, Burke held up the red drivers’ sign with Bishop’s name on it, prompting much chuckles from attending media.
But his gag has semi-backfired. This guy was so quick to photoshop the sign that all we can do is applaud his work:
