Super Bowl 2016 is fast-approaching and, with it, so too are the previews of ads to be shown on game day.
We’ve already seen Liam Neeson star in a Tron rip-off for LG, Comedy Central duo Key and Peele riff as amateur sportscasters in a spot for Squarespace and Ryan Reynolds tease us with an alternate universe full of Ryan Reynolds’ to spruik Hyundai.
But we’re officially calling off the Super Bowl ads game – GO HOME, everyone else – ‘cos Heinz has taken it out with an ad feat. hundreds of dachshunds dressed as hot dogs.
The 30-second ad feats. the sausage stampede running towards a family dressed as condiments set to Harry Nilsson’s excellent track ‘Without You’.
As the doggies jump into the sauce bottle fam’s arms, the voice over booms: “It’s hard to resist good taste”.
Other things that are hard to resist: 100s of sausage dogs, their ears flapping in the breeze, dressed as one of our favourite white-bread snacks.
YOU JUST GET US, HEINZ.
Does it out-cute Budweiser’s Clydesdale puppy commercial from 2013? You decide.
