The word ‘doppelgänger’ seems to be getting thrown around a lot lately, or at least a lot more since the internet rediscovered the term a few years ago. The perpetrator of alleged doppelgänging this time? A 35-year-old policeman Grant Hazell, from Suffolk in the UK originally but now living in Perth. After his wife, who is convinced he is a dead ringer for Ryan Gosling, sent his pictures off to a talent agent he was signed as a ‘Professional Ryan Gosling Lookalike.’
Apparently he constantly gets stopped by Gosling fans, he said that one particular fan refused to be believe wasn’t Gosling, “She told me she had seen all my movies and that she was in love with me. When I said I wasn’t actually him, she didn’t believe me. It was a surreal conversation.” A couple of the photos from his Gosling shoot:
