Gird your loins, ladies and gentlemen! Your favourite rag-tag group of talent show misfits are heading back to the Antipodes to smash more attendance records than you ever thought possible. That’s right, those handsome young lads in One Direction have announced a run of dates in Australia for February in 2015.
Harry and Niall and Zayn and Liam and Louis last visited Australian shores towards the end of last year, where across 18 shows they managed to sell every single one of the 190,000-odd tickets on offer. This time around there’ll be less shows to attend, but they’ll be in significantly larger venues, with the tour moving into stadiums.
The devilishly handsome group, whose swoon-inducing factor is reaching heights previously unthought of, announced the tour via a video in which they managed to convey genuine affection for Australian crowds whilst simultaneously toeing the sponsor’s line – certainly no mean feet.
Tickets for the tour go on sale to the general public on May 31st. The dates for the tour are as follows:
Saturday February 7th – Allianz Stadium, Sydney
Wednesday February 11th – Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
Saturday February 14th – Etihad Stadium, Melbourne
Tuesday February 17th – AAMI Stadium, Adelaide
Friday Febraury 20th – Paterson’s Stadium, Perth
