Leonardo DiCaprio Will Not Be Bringing His ‘Je Ne Sais Quoi’ To Gatsby’s Sydney Premiere

Australia’s Next Top Model alumni and girls who became women in 1997, despair. Leonardo DiCaprio will not be returning to Sydney this week for the premiere of Baz Luhrmann’s mercurial adaptation of F. Scott Fitz-Jay-Z’s The Great Gatsby, citing a change of schedule in accounting for his absence.

Basically, ‘CBF hey?
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Yours, Mine and Our Leo has issued a statement saying, “My time shooting, living and working in Sydney, with the most amazing Australian cast and crew, was an experience I won’t forget.
It was such a great joy to reunite with Baz, who was endlessly inspiring on The Great Gatsby and most importantly is a great friend of mine.”
Baz (real name Mark Anthony!) Luhrmann, his incredibly talented wife and designer Catherine Martin, and marquee stars Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan’s Ill-Advised Hair Extensions, Joel Edgerton and Elizabeth Debicki will have a little extra legroom at Wednesday’s premiere in Leo’s absence.
And a little extra scoop at Messina to celebrate.
