There are multiple reports of one new locally-acquired COVID-19 case in Sydney’s Bondi, reports the Daily Telegraph, citing multiple sources.

NSW Health would not confirm the report, however sources told the newspaper that the positive case is from an unknown source.

A separate source told the ABC the new case is a man who frequented the Bondi Junction shopping centre in recent days.

The state had previously recorded zero locally-acquired cases as of June 16.

NSW Health is expected to give a statement soon.
