5 Stops To Make On Your Next Rowdy Trip Around The World

Does anyone else have that moment of sheer excitement when you’re gearing up for a trip with your mates and you think, “Well boys, this is as good as life gets”?

Aside from the whole mad rush to the airport where you’re sure you’ve missed your flight, going on a trip with a group of people in the same mindset is the most fun you’ll ever have.

Sure, travelling with a partner is fun and all, but you’re probably more prone to be in bed by 10pm every night which is just not the overseas way of life.

So, to get everyone hyped for their next journey, here are a few different places to check out.

Tank Riding in Las Vegas, America

America might be a trek-and-a-half to get to but sometimes you’ve just got to splash out when the opportunity is there.

For example, did you know you can ride an actual tank in Las Vegas? You might’ve seen Post Malone cruising along on one recently, so it’s kinda like that but without the face tattoos.

Battlefield Vegas even let you crush a car if you truly want to go full Grand Theft Auto. It’ll cost around $2,500 USD but the memories are for life.

Mario Karting in Tokyo, Japan

There’s a strong chance you’ve experienced the breakdown of at least one friendship thanks to Mario Kart. That game destroyed lives when I was a kid.

If you’ve still got a score to settle with one of your childhood chums, challenge them to Mario Kart IRL. You can genuinely race around Tokyo in replica karts, completely decked out as Mario and the gang.

Plus, it only costs a little over $100 AUD which is a downright steal.

Heli-Skiing in British Columbia, Canada

If you’ve grown up watching James Bond, you’ll know that jumping out of a helicopter is a surefire way to pick up girls, guys or trees in the vicinity of the jump. People froth it.

So, why not fall from the sky while landing graciously on your feet before casually sauntering down the mountain on some skis attached to your feet? Personally, I can already picture my dismount and it does not look pretty. At all.

If you do have the skill (and guts) to heli-ski, prices in British Columbia start from around $440 AUD.

La Tomatina in Buñol, Spain

Go for the culture, stay for the ability to pelt your mate Johnno in the face with overripe tomatoes.

Buñol holds a week-long festival starting on August 23rd every year where everyone in the town throws tomatoes at one another until their hearts are content and their clothes are stained.

While tickets only cost 12 euros, getting there will obviously cost a bit more.

Scuba Diving in The Great Barrier Reef, Australia

Who’s to say you have to venture outside of Oz to have a life-changing experience?

Hit up the Great Barrier Reef to become one with the fish. Not in a creepy way, just like swimming near them and stuff.

You can do a five-day tour starting from $999 AUD.

Now, look. This all might seem a tad out of reach for you at the moment, with your $30 in savings and what not. If you’re a bit skint as it stands, you have two options.

You can work your ass off and save for a long time, or you can get an Instant Scratch-Its* scratchie and if luck’s on your side, you’ll be off smashing tomatoes in Johnno’s face in no time.

Your call.
