Mario Karting in Tokyo, Japan
There’s a strong chance you’ve experienced the breakdown of at least one friendship thanks to Mario Kart. That game destroyed lives when I was a kid.
If you’ve still got a score to settle with one of your childhood chums, challenge them to Mario Kart IRL. You can genuinely race around Tokyo in replica karts, completely decked out as Mario and the gang.
Plus, it only costs a little over $100 AUD which is a downright steal.
Heli-Skiing in British Columbia, Canada
If you’ve grown up watching James Bond, you’ll know that jumping out of a helicopter is a surefire way to pick up girls, guys or trees in the vicinity of the jump. People froth it.
So, why not fall from the sky while landing graciously on your feet before casually sauntering down the mountain on some skis attached to your feet? Personally, I can already picture my dismount and it does not look pretty. At all.

La Tomatina in Buñol, Spain
Go for the culture, stay for the ability to pelt your mate Johnno in the face with overripe tomatoes.
Buñol holds a week-long festival starting on August 23rd every year where everyone in the town throws tomatoes at one another until their hearts are content and their clothes are stained.
While tickets only cost 12 euros, getting there will obviously cost a bit more.
Scuba Diving in The Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Who’s to say you have to venture outside of Oz to have a life-changing experience?
Hit up the Great Barrier Reef to become one with the fish. Not in a creepy way, just like swimming near them and stuff.
You can do a five-day tour starting from $999 AUD.
Now, look. This all might seem a tad out of reach for you at the moment, with your $30 in savings and what not. If you’re a bit skint as it stands, you have two options.
