Of all the towns on capes, Cape Town is one of the best.
For a while now we’ve been working with Nando’s and as a part of their PERi-Perks campaign, there’s a VIP trip for two to South Africa up for grabs – ICYMI it’s the birth land of your favourite Mozambican/Portuguese chicken.
So, to get you in the mood to win a couple of flights via our comp, we’ve rounded up a handful of the places you’ll be frequenting once you hit the ground. If you’re feeling thirsty while wandering the streets of Cape Town, searching for sugar man, we’ve got you covered for brews, beans and beef:
110 Bree St, Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town, 8000
+27 (0)79 722 9712
Housed in a church built back in 1801, AND UNION is part of the ‘We Love Real Beer’ collective who are all about artisanal beers; both their own and the best of bubbles sourced from all over the world.
223 Long St, Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town, 8000
+27 21 424 3370
Beers and beer related taps as far as the eye can see! Basically: It’s a massive beer hall with 25 taps, and their legendary ’99 Bottles’. You’re bound to like one.
The Power and the Glory
13D Kloof Nek Rd, Tamboerskloof, Cape Town, 8000
+27 21 422 2108
This bistro and bar, where you can also pick up a top notch coffee, is the kind of place where everyone knows your name. (Provided you make more than one trip through). It’s consistently filled with regulars and as an added bonus for any young singles heading over, usually overflowing with hot 20-somethings. Get it while they’re hot!
Ny 115, Guguletu, Cape Town, 7751
A favourite of locals and tourists alike, at this point Mzoli’s is a bona-fide Capetonian institution. It’s actually a butchery that regularly has large scale street party / BBQ situations and is generally going off during both day and night. (As seen above).
Truth. Coffee Roasting.
36 Buitenkant St, Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town, 8000
+27 21 200 0440
According to those in the know, at Truth you will find some of the best coffee in the world. But in their own words: “Having a world-renowned cafe can seem to distract from our core business. Roasting coffee.” Not only that, they’ve committed wholly to a theme and have a massive old timey, fully functional coffee machine at the heart of the business and a hundred% steampunk interior. (All moustaches on site are fully twirled at all times).
To make this South African dream a reality, remember to scan your PERi-Perks card or App and spend $15+ by end of October 18th 2015, to automatically go into the draw.
