It Turns Out Nando’s Was Behind The Big Mango Theft

Like a real life Los Pollos Hermanos, it’s been revealed that a fast-food chicken restaurant is behind the headline-making crime that rocked a Queensland town.

Remember yesterday when we were all worried by the mysterious disappearance of Bowen’s iconic fibreglass masterpiece the Big Mango? It turns out the “theft” was actually an insensitive stunt pulled by the world’s foremost merchants of PERi-PERi, Nando’s.

Nando’s Australia confessed the sting via its Facebook page, announcing:

Thank you Bowen. Your Big Mango is in safe hands (very, very big hands)

We confess, we borrowed your Big Mango. But we’ve got big plans for it and promise to return it safely…soon (ish)
