Look, AI is impressive and all, but it’s still pretty dumb. While it can be an amazing tool with all sorts of legitimate uses, it just can’t seem to grasp the concept of human creativity.
With Valentines Day on the horizon, blog, AI Weirdness, recently collected a bunch of genuine messages often found on candy hearts and fed them to a neural network. You know, the ones that say “LOVE U” or “KISS ME”, etc.
Once the network had enough information, it had a crack at generating its own candy heart messages to hilariously stupid effect. On the better end of the results, there were some that could pass as real, but only just.
The list starts to devolve into nonsense pretty quickly, though, with results like “AM GOOD”, or “COOL CUD”.
