It’s ‘Turok’, Remember ‘Turok’? He’s Back, In Nintendo Switch Form

If you haven’t had your fix of gaming nostalgia for the week, allow me to pump it directly into your Nintendo-loving gob: Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is heading on over to the Switch.

That’s right, the Nintendo 64 classic will be available on the eShop from March 18, and for the most part, will be the same as its 1997 original, save for some small visual enhancements to bring it in line with today’s technology.

“Turok is back and no dinosaur is safe! When it was first released in 1997, Turok introduced gamers to a world teeming with cunning enemies, traps, puzzles and deadly weapons all within a vast 3D environment ready to explore,” Nintendo’s description reads. “Now the classic game has been restored and enhanced with a new visual engine and exciting new features to sink your teeth into!”

Funilly enough, the official page also includes a bunch of the weird information from the game’s original box, like “completely 3-D virtual world,” and “variable aggression profiles make each enemy behave uniquely.” Sure, ok.

So if you’re looking to relive the glory days of N64 shooters, get amongst this one, folks. It looks like Turok 2 will be set to follow at some point as well, but Nintendo is yet to confirm that one. How about a bit of Goldeneye? Please?
