If you’ve ever wanted chuck a martini in your Tinder match’s face, we have good news – you totally can.
The dating app has launched a new feature that allows you to send animated reactions in a conversation, with certain ones available exclusively to women to help battle douchey behaviour. Think of it as a funner way of saying “fuck off”.
It’s all part of Tinder’s Menprovement Initiative, which aims to give women the tools to call out the shitty minority of inappropriate users who can’t seem to take a hint. To help with the launch, the company enlisted the help of actress, comedian and “douchebag expert”, Whitney Cummings.
“Sometimes men need a little guidance when it comes to communicating on dating apps. And by a little, I mean a lot,” she said in a statement. “Knowing I’m an expert on douchebags, Tinder reached out to me for help. I teamed up with the awesome, smart, bold women of Tinder to develop a new product that helps you tell guys how you really feel.”
The ladies-only reactions include a ‘ball’s in your court’ animation, a martini straight to the face, and three strikes you can use if you feel like that shit’s going nowhere.
To send one, all you gotta do is open up a conversation, tap on the smiley icon, select the animation you want and send it away. Easy. When your match opens the chat, they’ll cop a full-screen animation like the ones below.
Other reactions include a laughing face, rolling eyes for those cheesy as fuck pickup lines, and literal round of applause. Happy swiping.
